A missing tooth

Although the spaces created by missing teeth may not be visible, they can cause a variety of problems. if you're missing one or more teeth, you have four options for making your smile complete.

1. Fixed bridge

Its are used to replace missing teeth and gum tissue. They are attached to neighboring teeth and cemented into place. The underlying substructure can be made of a ceramic material or metal, but the restorations are typically porcelain.

2. Removable bridge

Like fixed bridges, removable bridges (removable partial denture) replace missing teeth and gum tissue and are attached to neighboring teeth. They're not cemented into place and therefore can be removed.

3. Complete denture

A complete denture is a removable prosthesis that replaces all of the teeth in an arch (upper or lower) as well as any missing supporting structures (gums and bone).

4. Implants

A dental implant is a metal or ceramic device that replaces the root of the natural tooth. After the implants are placed in the bone, artificial teeth are attached to them, enabling normal function and natural tooth appearance.
